關於公司
The Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions (PAMI) was born in 1969 as the Private Nautical Schools Association of the Philippines (PNSAP). Founded by Atty. Tomas Cloma Sr. of the Philippine Maritime Institute, it was formed to serve as the platform of cooperation among higher maritime education institutions. PNSAP had four original member schools, the government-owned Escuela Nautica de Manila (now PMMA), and pioneer private schools Philippine Maritime Institute (now PMI Colleges), Iloilo Maritime Academy (now JBLCF), and NAMEI Polytechnic Institute. In 1975, the PNSAP was renamed as Philippine Association of Maritime Institutions to accommodate both government-owned maritime institutions and privately-operated schools which had grown in leaps and bounds because of the demand for manpower in the overseas seafaring industry. On May 24, 1984, PAMI was registered at the Security and Exchange Commission by its fourth president, Capt. Jaime Jimenez Sr. This formally established the Association as a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to be the steward for quality and the catalyst for change in Maritime Education and Training (MET).
