The Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) is a non-profit organization committed to eliminating TB in the Philippines through collaborative action, evidence-based strategies, and unified public-private partnerships. Established in 1994, PhilCAT brings together government agencies, private healthcare providers, professional societies, NGOs, and community organizations to align efforts in TB prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and advocacy.
Recognized internationally for pioneering the Public-Private Mix (PPM) approach to TB control, PhilCAT has been instrumental in developing national guidelines, spearheading World TB Day campaigns, and facilitating consensus-building across sectors. Guided by its mission to ensure accessible and standardized TB care for all, PhilCAT continues to lead the way in advancing a cohesive and impactful TB response in the Philippines.
