Pioneer started when the current President and Chairman of the Board of Pioneer Adhesives Inc., Mr. John W. Spakowski III came back from the US in 1978 after graduating from the University of Connecticut, He then came back with New Technologies coming from the west that is designed to solved problems for waterproofing and a composite walling system that is now known as EIFS. The earliest projects for this technologies are Naval Barracks in the Subic Bay US Naval Base.
After 12 years of being a division of RCI, the small group that was formerly known as Special Projects Division was spin off to be a stand alone self sustaining contracting and marketing company that is now known as Pioneer Specialty Building Systems Inc.
Pioneer Specialty Building Systems, Inc. (PSBSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pioneer Adhesives, Inc. Established in October 1990 to concentrate its efforts in the specialized construction industry of waterproofing, exterior wall systems, flooring, coatings, sealant and insulation.
