The Client

A fast-growing startup specializing in a booking and payment platform for hair salons and similar service-based businesses. Our platform streamlines customer management, staff rostering, and payments while delivering an intuitive mobile experience. 

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting deployments for web and mobile applications, and designing cost-effective cloud infrastructure.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their DevOps career who is passionate about automation, eager to learn new tools like Codemagic, and confident working with technologies like GitHub Actions, AWS, Laravel, and Flutter.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Pipeline Development:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for PHP (Laravel) and Flutter applications.

• Monitor and optimize workflows for speed and reliability.

Web and Mobile App Deployment:

• Deploy and configure Laravel web applications on staging and production environments.

• Support and eventually automate Flutter app publishing to Android and iOS app stores via Codemagic (prior experience not required).

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and cost-effective AWS infrastructure.

• Use IaC (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) to provision and manage resources when needed.

 Automation and Monitoring:

• Automate repetitive tasks to improve team productivity and reduce deployment risks.

• Implement basic monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth deployments.

• Participate in planning and continuous improvement of DevOps processes.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of professional experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or related role.

• Strong experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

• Comfortable deploying and configuring PHP Laravel applications.

• Basic understanding of mobile CI/CD practices and a strong willingness to learn Codemagic.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53.

• Ability to design cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on cost optimization and reliability.

• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and basic shell scripting.

• Good communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with Codemagic, Flutter, or mobile app release workflows.

• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.

Schedule

• Must be willing to work Monday to Friday 9am-6pm Manila Time
