Data Analyst (AI/Data Science Focus) – Health Insurance

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science to join our team. In this role, you will analyze complex health insurance data to derive actionable insights, develop predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis & Insights: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to health insurance claims, underwriting, and customer behavior.
• Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement AI/ML models to forecast claims frequency, detect fraud, and assess risk.
• Collaboration & Automation: Work closely with product, IT, and business teams to implement data-driven solutions and automate reporting processes.
• Data Visualization & Reporting: Create dashboards and reports using visualization tools to present insights to stakeholders.
• Operational Efficiency: Leverage machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to optimize processes and reduce costs.
• Innovation & Research: Stay updated with the latest AI and data science methodologies relevant to healthcare and insurance industries.
• Experimentation & Testing: Support the design and execution of A/B testing to refine and optimize business processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on AI, machine learning, or data science.
• Experience in the health insurance industry or healthcare analytics is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Programming & Data Analysis: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL.
• Machine Learning: Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Big Data (Preferred): Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark is a plus.

Statistical & Analytical Skills:

• Strong foundation in statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
• Ability to break down complex problems and provide data-driven solutions.

Communication & Soft Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and drive data-driven decision-making.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with healthcare-specific data (ICD codes, claims data, risk adjustment models).
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and data privacy standards.
• Experience with AI tools and automation for healthcare and insurance analytics.
