ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager, internally known as Accounting Lead who will supervise the Property Bookkeeping team members and handle full charge property bookkeeping. They will oversee a monthly accounting cycle for a diverse portfolio of properties, including general ledger accounting activities, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of monthly property financial reporting packages, and collaborating with property managers to ensure accurate, timely, and complete property execution from a financial standpoint. This role requires strong supervisory skills, as well as collaboration with other departments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and AppFolio.
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time (11:30 PM – 8:30 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with property managers and the company controller to ensure that department and company goals are met
- Manage cash flow
- Perform the following accounts payable tasks:
- Enter invoices for payment
- Sort and mail checks
- Dand file payables (electronic and hard copies)
- Cut checks as needed
- Perform the following accounts receivable tasks:
- Process income for properties (posting into AppFolio, electronic deposits)
- Assist in tenant account reconciliation (outstanding credits/balances)
- Prepare financial statements
- Conduct month-end reconciliation and close
- Process owner distributions
- Contact accounts payable vendors for missing/incomplete invoicing
- Obtain W-9s for all vendors and prepare year-end 1099s and other tax and regulatory filings as needed
- Identify and research invoice discrepancies proactively
- Assist team with additional tasks as needed, such as filing, processing tenant move-outs, and onboarding new properties
- Contribute to process and policy development and maintenance
- Support training and mentorship across the team
- Delegate workload across bookkeeping and administrative personnel as appropriate
- Supervise the Property Bookkeeping team and activities
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients on time
- Uphold company values and provide excellent customer service
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
- Minimum of three years relevant experience in property management accounting
- Minimum of two years proven experience as a team supervisor
- Proficient with PCs and Microsoft 365
- Experience working in property management and accounting software required; AppFolio preferred
- A good communicator who enjoys working with a dedicated team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational skills to maintain efficiency standards
- Ability to address discrepancies and implement corrective processes
- Ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach toward a variety of assignments
- Capable of accepting constructive criticism and giving appropriate feedback
- A self-starter who can work independently
