Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording daily transactions, reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting monthly financial reporting. This role will also include tracking software license sales and renewals, assisting with VAT returns in compliance with regulations, and collaborating with finance and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Work Overview

  • Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments using the company’s ERP system.

  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.

  • Issue and manage sales invoices; monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

  • Record vendor bills, track due dates, and assist with timely payments.

  • Maintain proper documentation of all financial records for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Support in preparing monthly financial reports such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.

  • Monitor cash flow, credit card transactions, and petty cash.

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE regulations.

  • Track and reconcile software license sales and renewals, ensuring alignment with both vendor and customer records.

  • Conduct regular audits to verify accuracy of license-related transactions and reporting.

  • Coordinate with the operations and finance teams on ad-hoc financial tasks and clarifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (2–4 years) as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles. bookkeeping practices and financial regulations

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/reporting software.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in tracking and reconciling software licenses is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
