Summary
The Corporate Communications Lead will be responsible for the development of external and internal communications tools and programs, management of corporate social media platforms, corporate website, crisis communications, thought leadership, and the management and development of the UBX corporate brand. This role will build, enhance, protect UBX’s reputation and support its business objectives. The role will be reporting directly to the Managing Director for Corporate and Government Affairs. This is an individual contributor role.
Responsibilities
Lead External Communications
- Lead in the development and implementation of external communications plans and strategies to support the UBX corporate brand, the Agile Leadership team and the company’s mission, vision and values, and our Agile Ways of Working.
- Lead in the development and implementation of external communications tools and programs to support the UBX corporate brand, the Agile Leadership team and the company’s mission, vision and values.
- Lead and secure internal alignment among brands on UBX corporate branding and communications
- Devise Strategies and Content plans for the corporate social media channels as well as the corporate website
- Act as clearing house for all communications geared toward external audiences to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging across all business units and collaterals.
- Work closely with the relevant internal teams to drive alignment towards messaging for external communications.
- Establish, Monitor and Report clear metrics for external communications tools and programs.
- Establish the UBX speakers’ bureau
- Work closely with the HR team for Employer branding messaging and communications for external audience
- Manage external communications resources
- Perform other functions relevant to external communications as may be assigned from time to time
Lead Internal Communications
- Lead in the development and implementation of internal communications plans and strategies to support the UBX corporate brand, the Agile Leadership team and the company’s mission, vision and values, and our Agile Ways of Working.
- Lead in the development and implementation of internal communications tools and programs to support the UBX corporate brand, the Agile Leadership team and the company’s mission, vision and values.
- Crafts, designs and enhances organization communications programs and tools that inform and engage groups and individuals as part of culture-building.
- Partner with the HR team to build, enhance and promote their programs with communications strategies and tools.
- Support the organization’s mindset-building as well as culture-building by devising internal campaigns and creative materials to communicate our Agile Ways of Working, Mission, Vision, Values and Business Objectives to be shared to employees.
- Produce multimedia programs and content about UBX and its employees for release to internal and external audiences, to promote UBX culture and brand.
- Partner with the Governance, Risk and Compliance team to communicate effectively to UBX employees relevant circulars, notices and reminders to further promote a culture of compliance among the employees.
- Perform other functions relevant to internal communications as may be assigned from time to time
Manage UBX as a brand
- Lead in the development and implementation of a corporate brand plan for UBX and devise strategies, tools and programs to elevate the company in the Philippines and Singapore.
- Lead in the development of a communications plan for the company with clear established metrics to measure the success of identified initiatives.
- Partner with the Country Head of UBX Singapore in devising a communications plan to elevate the UBX brand in Singapore.
- Provide guidance and support for Agile Leadership Team (ALT) communications toward the promotion of UBX as a brand.
- Manage internal communications resources
- Assist in Investor Relations Communications
- Lead in the development of the UBX corporate brand book, brand guidelines and ensure alignment across internal stakeholders.
- Act as a focal point and lead for Crisis Communications for UBX and its products and services.
- Lead reputation management activities for the company
- Identify and create opportunities to proactively promote the UBX brand through various channels.
- Partner with counterparts within the broader Aboitiz ecosystem to align on messaging when relevant and secure potential co-branding opportunities to elevate the corporate brand.
- Perform other functions relevant to managing the UBX as a brand as may be assigned from time to time

- Strong understanding of corporate communications trends, tools and programs

- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to seek innovative and constructive solutions to support UBX in achieving its financial and development goals
- Capacity to manage and resolve conflicts constructively when stakes are high, and multiple stakeholders are involved, taking and standing by difficult decisions while communicating them in a way that creates understanding and buy-in from all stakeholders

Qualifications
- Relevant education or training to Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Marketing
- 4-6 years relevant work experience in handling broader communications, marketing (both digital and traditional), public relations and journalism.
- Familiarity with Quad-media strategies, tools and programs for PR and Communications.
- Strong knowledge of current and developing trends in Corporate Communications.
- Experience in corporate brand marketing management.
- Strong understanding of existing and developing metrics or KPIs in the field of corporate communications, PR, and engagement.
