Performs routine laboratory examinations following Standard procedures
Prepares laboratory test reportsb. Prepares blood sample for send out examinationc. Accomplishes “ send-out forms” and forwards the request to the receptionistd. Monitors reliability and accuracy of each test run
Performs a variety of determinations on different bodily fluids such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, complete blood tests
Records laboratory test results in the appropriate laboratory logbook.
Prepares laboratory test reports
Consults the pathologist for some confirmatory examination
Prepares specimens to be stored or transported to the reference laboratory
Logs in the pending logbook patient with findings
Submits monthly report to the Department of Health on the laboratory test done
Operates, calibrates and conducts performance check on clinical laboratory equipment
Reports to Medical Director medical equipment failure
Implements medical testing equipment maintenance activities
Maintains cleanliness of the unit
Maintain a log of supplies used in the laboratory and keeps area stocked with supplies
Makes periodic inventory of reagents, noting the expiry date
Prepares requisition for reagent and supplies needed in the laboratory
