Coordinating and tracking shipments to ensure they arrive safely and on time.
Maintaining accurate records of inventory, including monitoring the condition and quantity of items.
Communicating with suppliers, retailers, customers and transport companies to resolve issues and facilitate the logistics process.
Assisting in the development of logistics strategies to improve cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Coordinate daily T&D shipment data with the Production group, and assist with daily reconciliation of ship, truck, barge and railcar shipments & receipts for production reporting purposes.

Complete a bachelor degree in operational management, business management, engineering, or related field.
Gain experience in logistics through internships or part-time work.
Consider getting certification such as the Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate from The Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport.
Continuing education and added credentials can lead to promotion to Logistics Manager.
Ability to prioritize and balance personal and team goals.
Have a basic knowledge of relevant legislative (environmental, health/safety) requirements.
