- Manages a company's accounting department, including financial accounting, payroll, and accounts payable.
- They also ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Oversee daily transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger
- Prepare budgets and financial reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closings
- Monitor the accounting department's performance
- Recruit, hire, and evaluate accounting staff
- Train new hires and identify training opportunities for current staff
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
- Implement internal controls to minimize risk
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to analyze complex financial data
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize work
