• Supervise and manage the accounting department and its team members.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports and forecasts.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure all audit requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and payroll tax.
• Develop and implement internal controls to improve the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Review and approve financial transactions and reports prepared by junior staff.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial planning, and risk management.
• Support the finance manager with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
• May be required to work other tasks determined by the needs of the business.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least five (5) years working experience as Accounting Head/Manager
• Knowledge in SAP Business One is an advantage
• Background in construction industry is also an advantage
• With good level of competence in MS Office Application
• Good communication skills are essential, particularly in presenting the results of analyses to management
• Able to manage high volume of workload
• A person with good moral character and integrity
• Able to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervision
