Strategy

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for Finance & Accounting (F&A) shared services, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the operations team by fostering continuous improvement, promoting innovation, ensuring data accuracy, applying best practices, and enhancing cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish F&A shared services as a trusted strategic partner, managing stakeholder relationships effectively across business functions including Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R), and Source to Pay (S2P).

Governance

  • Design an effective organizational structure that prioritizes core competencies to enable faster, more informed decision-making and operational enhancements.
  • Continuously optimize span of control to support operational efficiency.
  • Foster internal alignment within teams such as Customer Care, Procurement, and Sales Coordination, as well as externally with functions like Commercial Operations and Country/Regional Accounting.

Performance

  • Enhance transparency in performance management and guide service delivery using data-driven insights to meet defined KPIs and productivity benchmarks.
  • Align service delivery with business requirements by understanding operational needs.
  • Embed sustainable daily management practices, structured problem-solving, and robust performance monitoring.
  • Promote cross-functional performance improvements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal policies, driving improved service quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate across the business to elevate service quality, user satisfaction, and operational effectiveness throughout the end-to-end (E2E) process.

Process

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities and process optimization initiatives to boost operational efficiency and minimize manual effort.

Capability & Competence

  • Build a center of excellence by identifying upskilling needs, developing operational teams into true solution providers, and creating targeted learning pathways for subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Foster a culture of best practice sharing and knowledge exchange.

People & Culture

  • Clearly communicate corporate objectives, strategies, and performance expectations to operational teams.
  • Lead by example, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Encourage an environment that supports innovation, curiosity, and ongoing learning.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing Finance and Accounting teams in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Prior experience in a shared services environment is an advantage.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of core Accounting and Finance functions is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with both senior leadership and operational teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and address inefficiencies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and across matrixed teams.

  • Proven leadership qualities that inspire teams and align efforts toward common objectives.
  • Skilled at navigating organizational culture and politics across multiple departments.
  • Resilient under pressure, adaptable to changing environments and business needs.
