The Senior Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and leadership experience. The Senior Team Leader will manage multiple projects effectively, guiding the team to meet deadlines and achieve organizational financial objectives.


Job Description


• Lead and supervise a team of accountants, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and other accounting records.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

• Manage workflow and assign tasks to team members based on priority and expertise.

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

• Communicate with clients and stakeholders, addressing financial inquiries and providing insights.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure accurate data entry and documentation.


Required Qualifications


• Experience in managing and mentoring a team to achieve high performance.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Has a strong background in Revenue and Accounts Receivable

• Experience with Reconciling Cash Accounts.

• Familiar with Accrued Expenses

• Has experience with Fixed Assets

• Familiar with Deferred Revenue

• Knows Prepaid Expenses

• Has experience with Expenses and Accounts Payable

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Screening Criteria


• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

• Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience.

• At least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Must have a table employment history.
