KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Airconditioning Repairs & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose issues on various types of aircon units (split-type, window-type, VRF/VRV, centralized units).
• Perform corrective repairs including compressor, fan motor, capacitor, PCB, thermostat, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Conduct refrigerant charging, leak testing, and repair.

2. Installation & Replacement

• Install, relocate, and upgrade air-conditioning units and related components.
• Ensure proper mounting, alignment, wiring, and piping for safe and efficient operation.

3. Preventive Maintenance

• Perform routine cleaning, filter washing, coil brushing, and general servicing of units.
• Conduct scheduled inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and servicing activities.

4. Technical & Safety Compliance

• Follow electrical and mechanical standards in servicing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and proper handling of refrigerants.
• Report safety hazards and equipment concerns immediately.

5. Facility Support

• Assist in general facility maintenance tasks when required (minor electrical work, plumbing checks, equipment troubleshooting).
• Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs when needed.
• Support emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Training

• Vocational or Technical Certificate in Refrigeration and Airconditioning (RAC) or related course.
• TESDA NC II / NC III in RAC Servicing is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in aircon servicing, maintenance, or facility repair.
• Experience handling multiple-unit commercial establishments is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable in electrical systems related to air-conditioning.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and working at heights.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with team members.
• Can work with minimal supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays when needed.
• May be required for on-call or emergency repairs.
• Fieldwork and exposure to hot, enclosed, or elevated areas.
