Assistant IT Manager/Officer

Position Summary

Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of IT infrastructure of Agribank’s core banking system in line of its business commitment to its client, regulating body and employees. Should ensure that the technical projects are in alignment with organizational goals, directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes.

Essential Functions

• Develop IT strategies, objectives and programs and align them to the bank’s strategies, objectives and programs
• Provide inputs to management on new technologies and trends so that the bank can capitalize on them.
• Accountable for directing the information, data integrity and security of the bank for all Information Technology functions - data centers, technical architecture, production scheduling functions, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), application systems development, and computer systems operations, databases and information security management

Skills acquired/exposure in the banking industry:

• Proven experience of managing an IT department
• Experience of managing budgets and effective costs efficiency
• Business know-how and in-depth IT experience in all facets of IT specifically infrastructure planning and development
• Strong team player and with effective leadership skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with urgency and high demand
