- Operate backhoe equipment to dig trenches, foundations, and excavations.
- Load and move materials using the front loader and backhoe arm.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and perform basic maintenance.
- Read and interpret site plans, instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any mechanical issues.
- Ensure safe operation around crew members and other site equipment.
- Assist in manual labor tasks when not operating the equipment.
- Comply with all safety and operational procedures on site.
- High School Graduate or equivalent (required)
- With TESDA NC II Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation – Backhoe Loader (preferred)
- 2 years of experience operating backhoe equipment in construction, excavation, or utility projects
- Proficient in digging, trenching, loading, and material handling
- Skilled in using both front loader and backhoe attachments
- Knowledgeable in soil types, depth control, and safe digging practices
- Strong understanding of equipment safety procedures and maintenance checks
- Ability to read site plans and follow verbal and written instructions
- Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor job sites under varying conditions
- Good communication and coordination skills with the work crew
