Greet customers warmly as they enter the café/shop and take their orders.
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
Prepare and serve light food items (pastries, sandwiches, snacks) if part of the menu.
Operate coffee and beverage equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers), following recipes and presentation standards.
Handle cash/card/other payments, operate POS system, and give accurate change
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene: clean work areas, equipment, tools, utensils; ensure sanitary conditions behind the counter; comply with health/safety regulations.
Restock supplies: monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, disposable items (cups, lids), food items; assist in ordering as needed.
Assist in opening and closing duties: setup, shutdown, clean up, closing of tills/registers, daily preparation tasks
Provide product/menu knowledge to customers: answer questions about beverages (ingredients, flavors), recommend items, help customers customize their order
Monitor and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
Work as part of a team; help colleagues when needed; ensure positive customer experience.
