Providing knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections to customers based on their preferences and menu items
Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the wine list, including details on grape varieties, regions, vintages and flavour profiles
Assisting with the procurement, storage and rotation of wine inventory to ensure optimal quality and availability
Collaborating with the culinary team to suggest wine pairings that complement the menu
Delivering attentive and personalized customer service to enhance the overall dining experience
Participating in wine tastings, staff training and other educational initiatives to continually develop your expertise
Adhering to all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations

Proven experience as a Wine Specialist or Wine Waiter in a high-end restaurant, hotel or catering environment
Extensive knowledge of wine varietals, regions, producers and trends from around the world
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to educate and engage guests
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain inventory and wine lists
A passion for wine and a commitment to continuing professional development
