JOB PURPOSE
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and profitability of the branch. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods through strategic planning, team leadership, and operational excellence. The Branch Manager drives customer satisfaction, maintains compliance with industry regulations, manages budgets, and contributes to business growth by optimizing logistics services and building strong client relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operations
a. Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of logistics operations such as warehousing, transportation, freight forwarding, and distribution.
b. Monitor the flow of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
c. Optimize routing, load planning, and inventory control to improve efficiency.
2. Customer Relationship Management
a. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
b. Handle escalated customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
c. Develop customized logistics solutions for key clients when needed.
3. Business Development
a. Identify opportunities for expanding services or acquiring new clients in the region.
b. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing in Manila Head Office and Branch teams to develop proposals and close deals.
c. Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activities.
4. Financial Oversight
a. Manage branch budgets, Profit & Lost statements, and cost control measures.
b. Track KPIs and operational metrics to identify areas of improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
c. Approve expenditures and ensure profitability targets are met.
5. Team Leadership
a. Supervise, train, and motivate staff including Accounting, Marketing, personnel, truck drivers, customer service reps, and administrative staff.
b. Conduct performance reviews, handle conflict resolution, and ensure compliance with company policies.
c. Foster a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all health & safety regulations.
6. Compliance & Documentation
a. Ensure compliance with local, national and transportation laws and regulations.
b. Maintain proper documentation for audits, customs, insurance, and client reporting.
c. Enforce SOPs and standardize workflows for consistency and legal safety.
7. Strategic Planning
a. Develop and implement short and long-term goals for the branch.
b. Align branch activities with corporate objectives and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
c. Plan for peak seasons, capacity expansions, or process upgrades.
Basic Qualifications:
· Must be a Bachelor’s Degree in any Business related courses
· At least five (5) years’ experience of successfully managing a team of reports in a multi-functional logistics-based operation.
· Sales and Marketing background is required
· Tech Savy: Canva, Gmail Suits and Office, Microsoft Office
