The Company Nurse under the direct supervision of the VP for HR and Administration, is responsible for promoting and ensuring the health and well-being of employees. The primary duties and responsibilities of a company nurse may include, but are not limited to:
I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Assistance
Provide immediate first aid and medical attention to employees who are injured or become ill at the workplace.
Administer basic medical treatments, such as wound care, and administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Maintain accurate records and the necessary report/s of medical treatments and incidents.
. Health and Wellness
Promote general health and wellness within the organization through education and awareness campaigns.
Conduct health assessments and screenings as required.
Provide guidance on preventive health measures and healthy lifestyle choice.
. Occupational Health and Safety
Collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure compliance with OSH Committee regulations and guidelines.
Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and policies
Conduct health and safety training for employees.
Other Tasks
Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining medical supply inventory, scheduling appointments, managing employee health insurance claims, and preparing reports and analytics on health related matters.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of employees, including compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
II. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of BS Nursing a reputable nursing institution
Professional License is required (Registered Nurse - RN)
Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in occupational health or a related field is preferred
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines
Proficient in maintaining accurate records and documentation
