We’re looking for a Finance Data Validation Analyst who is detail-oriented, curious, and motivated by ensuring accuracy in financial and operational data. This role sits within our Finance & Accounting organization, supporting accurate, audit-ready revenue and commission data across multiple insurance carriers. You will validate commission rates, policy data, and contract information, ensuring end-to-end integrity of data that powers our financial reporting and revenue recognition.
Unlike traditional QA roles focused on software testing, this position emphasizes data accuracy, reconciliation, and process improvement within a financial context. You’ll partner with Engineering, Data, and Finance teams to identify and resolve discrepancies, improve systems, and strengthen reporting processes.

Responsibilities:
- Commission Rate Verification: Validate commission rates against carrier contracts and statements; identify discrepancies between policy data and payments received.
- Policy Data QA: Review policy information across carriers to confirm coverage, policy types, effective dates, and cancellation statuses.
- Commission Statement Analysis: Analyze carrier commission statements to verify policy information and ensure completeness.
- Contract Research: Examine carrier agreements and commission schedules to support rate validation and identify missing documentation.
- System Migration Support: Provide QA during commission rate and policy data migrations; collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure accurate transitions from hard-coded systems to master datasets.
- Multi-Source Data Verification: Use structured, three-way data checks across policy reports, carrier portals, and commission statements to ensure data consistency.
- Sampling & Testing: Execute structured sampling methodologies per carrier batch to reconcile premiums, commission rates, and policy status changes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed QA findings; create reports summarizing commission accuracy and system migration validation results.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in data quality and partner with Engineering and Finance teams to implement systematic, scalable fixes.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Carrier Relations, Data, Engineering, Finance, and Accounting teams to resolve issues and drive end-to-end accuracy for financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Business Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- 2–5 years of experience in data validation, quality assurance, financial operations, or revenue reconciliation is an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail with an analytical mindset and curiosity for understanding how systems and financial data connect.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel / Google Sheets) with comfort navigating large datasets.
- Proven ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize findings and influence data-driven process improvements.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance commissions, policy data, or revenue accounting.
- Familiarity with SQL, data validation tools, or reconciliation automation.
- Exposure to financial system migrations and data QA frameworks.
