The Driver-Mechanic is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, ensuring timely transport of personnel, equipment, or materials. Additionally, the role performs basic mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections to keep vehicles in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Duties:

• Operate company vehicles to transport personnel, materials, or equipment to various locations.
• Ensure safe driving practices, compliance with traffic laws, and adherence to company protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report vehicle issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned vehicles.
• Log daily mileage, fuel consumption, and trip details in vehicle logbooks or tracking systems.

Mechanical Duties:

• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on company vehicles (e.g., oil change, brake check, tire replacement, battery check, minor electrical work).
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspection schedules.
• Coordinate with external service providers for major repairs or diagnostics when necessary.
• Monitor and report vehicle parts or tools needed for maintenance.
• Ensure proper documentation of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory.

Requirements

Driver-Mechanic

Educational Qualifications: At least High School Graduate or TESDA NC II holder in Automotive Servicing (preferred).

Experience Level: Minimum of 2 years of experience in driving light/heavy vehicles; at least 1 year of experience in basic automotive repairs and maintenance.

Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and basic diagnostics. Strong sense of road safety and vehicle care.

Qualities and Traits: Ability to work independently and respond to urgent transport or mechanical issues. Good interpersonal skills and professional conduct. Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.

Working Conditions: May be assigned to fieldwork or project sites. Must be willing to work beyond regular hours, including weekends or holidays when needed. Exposure to heat, dust, and vehicular noise during maintenance or driving tasks.
