The Controller is responsible for managing the accounting operations of the Company to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. The role directs, plans, summarizes, and forecasts business activities and financial positions in areas of income and expenses based on past, present, and expected operations. The Controller oversees and regulates corporate funds and accounts, establishes budget, approves expenditures and provide guidance to the different groups/departments. The position is also responsible for tax planning and administration and compliance to government reportorial requirements.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and report variances;
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting;
Monitor compliance to accounting and company policies and government reportorial requirements;
Monitor cash position and cash flow;
Coordinate and direct preparation of consolidated financial reports;
Initiate tax planning and strategies;
Manage and develop teams. Ensure development of expertise and know-how.
Analyze transactional activities and processes to develop and/or recommend a more efficient and effective use of resources.
Ensure internal controls are in place;
Leads the department in the completion of audit process and ensures that all recommendations are implemented as agreed;
Heads the financial/accounting systems implementation team;
Presents to ManCom and Audit Committee the Company's financials;
Other duties as assigned by management.
Graduate of BS Accountancy
CPA Board Passer
With minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same role
With established foundation and experience in the overall general accounting functions, including taxation, financial reporting and administration/ management of accounting system
Experience in property management of similar industry is a plus
Has strong analytical, good communication skills and has the ability to manage various tasks and deadlines
Proficient in MS Office applications especially in MS Excel
