Greet customers warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items, specials, or ingredients.
Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
Check in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Handle payments, including processing credit cards and giving change, and make sure the customer’s check is accurate.
Deliver food and beverages to the table in a timely and organized manner.
Ensure that the correct orders are served and presented attractively.
Refill drinks, bring extra condiments, and clear empty plates when necessary.
Suggestive selling: recommend specials, desserts, or drinks to increase sales.
Keep the dining area clean and presentable by wiping down tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces.
Reset tables for new customers promptly after guests leave.
Maintain a clean and organized section, including tidying up workstations and replenishing supplies.
Work closely with kitchen staff and fellow waitstaff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Assist in other tasks as needed, such as running food, cleaning, or restocking supplies.
Communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback or special requests.
