Review the Cash Disbursement Journal regularly to ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions
Supervise and mentor two (2) accounting staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines
Ensure timely compliance with government regulatory requirements such as BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, including preparation, filing, and payment
Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
Review monthly bank reconciliations prepared by the accounting staff
Assist the Accounting Head in implementing accounting policies, systems, and improvements
Maintain proper documentation and organized filing of financial records
Coordinate with external auditors, vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed
Provide regular updates and reports to the Accounting Head, ensuring smooth workflow even in a low-supervision setup
Assist in cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and other management reporting tasks
Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports as needed

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience in government compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is required
Prior experience supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proven ability to manage daily accounting operations independently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to implement internal controls
Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in addressing accounting-related concerns
Strong communication and coordination skills, especially when working with an offsite Accounting Head
CPA license is an advantage but not required
