Job Title: General Ledger Accounting Associate (Open for Fresh Graduates)

Work Setup: Onsite (Pasig City)

Employment Status: Fulltime

Salary: Php 22,000 – 43,900

The General Ledger Accounting Associate (Analyst II, Record to Report – GL EMEA/SA) is responsible for performing GL functions for assigned entities across EMEA and SA regions. The role includes preparing monthly journals for the month-end closing process, generating monthly and quarterly reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and assisting in preparing controller packages while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Complete financial closing activities for assigned business units accurately, timely, and in accordance with work instructions and month-end closing checklist.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end closing, ensuring adequate documentation is retained.
  • Conduct analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and propose necessary journal entries.
  • Handle Transfer Pricing, Intercompany, vendor activities, and PO processing.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate unreconciled or long-aged items, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Generate monthly/quarterly financial reports to support management review and analysis.
  • Maintain internal controls and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements; liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries as needed.
  • Perform accounting, reporting, and ad-hoc projects, including backup tasks for team members during absences.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or holder of a recognized professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with an accountancy degree are welcome.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Team player, meticulous, and able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, goal-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with SAP and Teradata is preferred.
