Job Title: Live-in Family English Tutor

Position Overview:

We are a family seeking a dedicated and nurturing Native English Speaker to join our household as a full-time English Tutor for our child who attends an international school. The primary objective of this role is to create a rich, immersive English-speaking environment that fosters natural language acquisition and supports our child's academic and personal development. Our family uses English for daily communication, and we desire a tutor who can seamlessly integrate into this environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Immersive Language Environment: Provide a consistent, high-quality, and immersive English-speaking environment for the child outside of school hours
• After-School Academic Support: Review and reinforce the school's curriculum, assist with homework, projects, and prepare for tests in line with the international school's standards
• Interactive Learning & Play: Design and conduct engaging, age-appropriate educational activities, including games, reading sessions, and practical conversations to make learning English natural and enjoyable
• Daily Routine Integration: Utilize daily routines (meals, commutes, playtime) as opportunities for practical language practice and cultural exchange
• Progress Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with parents regarding the child's progress, challenges, and achievements

Job Requirements / Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Native or Native English Speaker with a neutral and clear accent
• Bachelor's Degree is required; degrees in Education, English, Linguistics, or Child Development are highly preferred
• Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or childcare, especially with school-aged children; experience in an international school setting is a significant plus
• Engaging & nurturing personality: Energetic, patient, creative, and genuinely passionate about working with children and fostering their growth
• Cultural sensitivity & professionalism: Respectful, reliable, and possesses a strong sense of responsibility and integrity; must be able to integrate harmoniously into a family setting
• Legal eligibility: Must meet all legal requirements to work in China; a clean criminal background check is required

• Schedule: Primarily after-school hours, evenings, and possibly weekends (specific schedule to be discussed)
