職位描述
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth workflow and task delegation.
- Support the Kitchen Supervisor in food preparation, mise-en-place, and maintaining kitchen standards.
- Monitor kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and safety practices in line with company policies and SOPs.
- Ensure proper use, cleaning, and storage of kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils.
- Train and guide new kitchen assistants on food preparation techniques, cleaning procedures, and work efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, minimizing wastage, and reporting shortages.
- Coordinate with stewarding staff to maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation and storage areas.
- Uphold quality and consistency of food served by supervising preparation and plating standards.
- Report operational issues to the Kitchen Supervisor / Outlet Manager for prompt resolution.
Requirements
- Education: SPM or equivalent (Culinary certification is an advantage).
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in a kitchen role; supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
- Basic cooking skills and ability to support food preparation.
- Leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Qualities & Traits:
- Organized, responsible, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the team.
- Physically fit to handle kitchen tasks and fast-paced environments.
- Working Conditions:
- Busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and heavy objects.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
