POSITION TITLE: Operations Supervisor, GBS Operations 

WORK LOCATION: Pasig City, Philippines (Hybrid Setup) 

SALARY RANGE: PHP 50,000 – 60,000 per month 

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time | Day Shift 

REPORTING TO: Global Business Services – Operations Manager


The Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and leadership to team leaders and members to achieve both customer and business outcomes through effective communication, problem-solving, and efficient process execution. This role involves leading the team to achieve productivity, timeliness, and quality success measures, and monitoring operational methods to drive continuous improvement within a Global Business Services setup, ideally in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Management

  • Manages the execution of day-to-day operations based on migrated processes, including but not limited to SEA Documentation and Rating and ISF-related activities (Importer Security Filing).
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of business and processes to monitor overall performance and achieve service excellence.
  • Develops and implements standard operational rhythm to consistently deliver service level objectives and metrics on timeliness, accuracy, and quality.
  • Advocates process documentation and standardization; drives key initiatives to facilitate process improvement and efficiency.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to drive permanent issue resolution.


People Management

  • Leads and creates a strong team culture of collaboration, ownership, agility, and resilience.
  • Sets clear and realistic goals and monitors team and individual performance regularly.
  • Identifies training and development programs to foster a high-performing and engaging team.


Stakeholder Management

  • Conducts monthly business and operations reviews with customers and stakeholders to discuss results, performance, and issues for resolution.
  • Proactively communicates updates, issues, and progress that require immediate attention or resolution from both internal and external customers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: More than 3 years of relevant working experience in a leadership capacity (Supervisor/Manager).
  • Industry Preference: Experience in a shared service set-up in a logistics and/or freight forwarding environment is highly preferred.
  • Education: At least Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree/MBA is a plus).
  • Skills: Above average interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including strong English proficiency.
  • Mindset: Possesses a Customer Service mindset and passion for service excellence; drives an entrepreneurial mindset and agility.
  • Technical: Process-driven with the ability to deep dive into processes and perform root cause analysis; Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of shipping business and processes.
