Qualifications:

  • At least a graduate of High School and Vocational Course in TESDA
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in general maintenance duties
  • At least 1 - 3 years of experience as a supervisor or trainer of other maintenance personnel
  • Experience in performing general maintenance work for the safety and overall upkeep of campus facilities
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and management of electrical tools and inventory
  • Knowledge in building compliance and safety regulations
  • Amenable to work Monday to Saturday

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the maintenance team with full coordination with the Facilities Officer, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with campus maintenance policies and safety regulations.
  • Lead the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all campus systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and civil works, to ensure the facilities remain fully operational.
  • Perform hands-on electrical/mechanical repairs and installations, ensuring systems and equipment meet operational and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical / mechanical malfunctions quickly to minimize disruption.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, wiring, outlets, panels, and other components, to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, particularly those involving electrical systems, equipment failures, plumbing issues, and other critical infrastructure, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff on proper maintenance techniques, safety protocols, and the execution of preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to ensure the team is meeting operational and quality standards with the full coordination with Facilities Officer
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with local and national electrical / mechanical / building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of maintenance materials and supplies, ensuring all necessary parts and tools are readily available for scheduled and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including electrical repairs, equipment inspections, parts used, and the status of systems. Ensure reports are submitted on time and contain all relevant details.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, staying within budget for procurement and supplies while maintaining high service levels.
  • Lead and participate in emergency response protocols, including troubleshooting electrical failures, coordinating with the emergency team, and ensuring that issues are resolved swiftly.
  • Ensure energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives are implemented, including regular monitoring of energy usage, recommending upgrades, and implementing improvements where applicable.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of campus maintenance activities, working together to address any issues that impact campus operations.
  • Continuously improve technical skills, staying up-to-date with the latest electrical systems, safety practices, and maintenance technologies through training and certifications.
