PHRN Medical Coder – Healthcare

Location: MOA, Pasay

Work Setup: Hybrid (5–6 months hybrid, then 2–3x/week onsite; WFH after training if requirements are met)

Schedule: Night Shift / Shifting (2 consecutive days off, predominantly weekends off)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Package:

• Basic Pay: ₱22,000 – ₱24,000
• Standard Allowance: ₱2,675
• Complexity Allowance: ₱4,000 (Level 3)
• Process Allowance: ₱4,000
• Coding Allowance: ₱20,000 (with active coding license; removed if without license)

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses, procedures, and medical services.
• Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines, payer policies, and organizational standards.
• Accurately process coding documentation to support billing and claims.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and internal teams to resolve coding discrepancies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Active PRC License (PHRN) – required
• Coding Certification (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) – non-negotiable
• With or without active coding license:
• With License: Eligible for Coding Allowance (₱20,000)
• Without License: Must have at least 2 years of billing or coding experience (no coding allowance)
• 1–2 years of clinical experience as RN – desirable but not required
• Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, guidelines, and healthcare processes
• Good communication, analytical, and documentation skills
• Willing to work on night shift/shifting schedules
