Product Selection and Procurement:
- Lead the selection and procurement of high-quality bakery products, including breads, pastries, cakes, and specialty items.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and bakeries to ensure consistent supply and competitive pricing.
- Research and introduce new products and trends to meet customer demands and expand the bakery assortment.
Pricing Strategy and Margin Optimization:
- Establish and implement pricing strategies for bakery products to achieve profitability while staying competitive in the market.
- Manage product costs and ensure margin targets are met through effective pricing, promotions, and cost control.
Sales Forecasting and Inventory Management:
- Analyze sales data and trends to forecast demand, ensuring adequate product supply without overstocking or creating waste.
Vendor Management and Supplier Relations:
- Manage relationships with bakery suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms.
Bakery Merchandising and Display:
- Oversee the visual presentation of bakery products in stores, ensuring displays are appealing and well-stocked to drive sales.
- Work with store operations to ensure that bakery products are displayed in a way that maximizes product visibility and customer engagement.
Product Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure that bakery products meet health and safety standards, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Familiarity with local and international food standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, DOH, BFAD/DA in the Philippines) and supplier audit processes.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to minimize waste and ensure freshness, ensuring products meet or exceed company quality standards.
Seasonal and Promotional Planning:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to design and execute seasonal campaigns, holiday promotions, and product launches for bakery items.
- Develop targeted promotional strategies to drive bakery sales, including limited-time offers, special discounts, and bundled deals.
Market Research and Trend Analysis:
- Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to identify opportunities and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
Sales Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on bakery sales performance, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding bakery performance, including sales, inventory, promotions, and supplier issues.
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Have 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.
- Experience in vendor negotiations, supplier relationship management, and strategic sourcing.
