- Sewing and Construction:
- Use sewing machines or hand tools to stitch materials together based on design specifications.
- Create garments, accessories, home textiles (e.g., curtains, upholstery), and other items.
- Follow patterns or custom specifications to ensure accurate construction.
- Fabric Cutting:
- Cut fabric according to patterns or measurements to prepare pieces for sewing.
- Sewing Skills: Proficient in using both hand tools and sewing machines.Attention to Detail: Ensuring precision in stitching, cutting, and fitting.Creativity: Ability to design or alter garments to suit specific needs or trends.Knowledge of Fabrics: Understanding different types of fabrics and their specific care and handling needs.Problem-solving: Ability to address issues like fabric tears, fitting problems, or design adjustments.
