Job Summary:

The Splicer is responsible for performing cable splicing, termination, and testing activities to ensure proper installation, connectivity, and functionality of network or electrical systems. The role involves hands-on work in the field, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform splicing, termination, and testing of cables (fiber optic, copper, or power).
• Conduct fusion and mechanical splicing with precision to minimize signal or power loss.
• Install, maintain, and repair cables, joints, closures, and enclosures.
• Perform OTDR, power meter, and continuity testing to verify splice quality.
• Read and interpret cable layouts, blueprints, and work orders.
• Maintain accurate records of splicing locations, cable routes, and test results.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with project engineers and field teams for installation and troubleshooting.
• Report any cable damages, defects, or irregularities to supervisors immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Vocational, Technical, or Engineering course (Electrical, Electronics, or Communication).
• With TESDA NC II / FOA / equivalent certification in Cable or Fiber Optic Splicing (preferred).
• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in cable or fiber optic splicing and testing.
• Knowledge of splicing tools, OTDR, power meter, and related testing equipment.
• Understanding of telecommunication or electrical cabling standards.
• Physically fit to perform field work, including working at heights or confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
