JOB PURPOSE:

The Product Officer will drive the product creation process and the redesign of existing products to support existing, new, and emerging sales distribution channels and customer segments, with the objective of remaining as close as possible to our customers' needs, while ensuring the profitability over time. Will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, post-launch optimization, and iteration, and will work closely with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure that products are appropriate for the target customers and achieve our business goals.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Product Development

  • Appreciate customer needs and perform in-depth analysis to help inform and recommend products and business decisions, while optimizing the implementation resources.

  • Work with internal partners and lead cross-functional units to deliver compelling product proposition and product experience in a timely manner.

  • Manage and show complete ownership of the entire product development process from ideation, business objective setting, testing, requirements gathering, product positioning, risk assessment, pricing, and launch.

  • Act as product representative to sales and segments channels in exploring product propositions that fit their customer profiles and optimizes InLife’s existing product portfolio and resources.

  • Support the development of product lifecycle management systems to deliver innovative products quickly.

Market Analysis

  • Monitor competitor products analyzing major changes in the industry to better assess InLife’s competitiveness

  • Performs analysis if InLife’s own products versus competition and alternatives and develop action plans or proper handling.

  • Monitors regulatory environment, identifying action items as needed to take advantage or respond to developments/changes in the regulatory frameworks affecting insurance offerings.

Product Management

  • Monitor existing products’ performance to read triggers to craft action plans to improve performance or create more value.

  • Iterate and enhance existing products as needed to maintain relevance with customers and to align with evolving market and regulatory trends.

  • Proactively reach out and work with sales partners and internal support units to drive awareness and provide knowledgeable information and support for the products handled.

  • Coordinate to ensure delivery of required ongoing product support to different distribution channels.

  • Keep abreast of customer feedback on products, and develop strategies and execute action plans to address sustained and recurring areas for product improvement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:

  • Must be a college graduate, preferably with a degree in either Marketing, Mathematics, Economics or other business-related fields.

  • Must have at least 10 years product development and product management experience, plus collaboration experience with pricing and valuation teams for overall insurance product delivery.

  • Exposure in leading cross-functional teams and experience in crafting product positioning and competitor/alternative products analysis.

  • Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Abreast on market trends and customer demands

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Must be willing to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa
