Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project documentation to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates.
- Conduct quantity take-offs using Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools.
- Prepare and submit tenders and scope of works for subcontractors.
- Source, compare, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Maintain updated pricing databases and assess contract variations.
- Attend tender interviews and contribute to value engineering discussions.
- Evaluate estimating processes for efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction estimating (preferably in Australia).
- Qualification in Building & Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related trade.
- Proficiency in CostX, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
