We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented R&D Specialist to join our team on a maternity cover basis (6 months). You will work closely with senior management, stakeholders during the maternity leave period of the current postholder. The R&D Specialist plays a key role in managing the complete product lifecycle from R&D, product innovation, production runs, and market readiness, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements to join our team on a maternity cover basis (4-6 months).

Responsibilities

• Develop and innovate new food products, improving existing formulations.
• Conduct prototype development, testing, and pilot production runs.
• Oversee test production runs to ensure product scalability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with local and international food safety regulations.
• Work with suppliers to source and optimize high-quality raw materials.
• Perform shelf-life studies and sensory evaluations to ensure product quality.
• Document and maintain formulations, test results, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with QA, production, and marketing teams to align with business goals
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining relevant industry certifications for the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with shelf-stable snacks or meat handling is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety & Quality Management, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, and product formulation.
• Experience in HACCP, GMP, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in product testing, sensory analysis, and shelf-life studies.
• Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and create reports.
• Willingness to travel to the production plant in Bulacan as required.
