The Research Analyst or Business Development Analyst is responsible for doing research and data analytics to provide data-driven strategic support and direction in the development and execution of business strategies and plans that promote the growth of the Construction Materials Group (CMG).

The role regularly and proactively looks at relevant external and internal data to identify trends and support decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

Environmental scanning

• Research and analyze data relevant to the company, such as but not limited to, macroeconomic, regulatory, sociopolitical, industry, and competitive environments
• Interpret the data to translate them into information usable by the business
• Identify additional data that may support or bring value to the business

Growth Opportunities

• Identify potential growth opportunities based on researched information and trends, as well as from observations from the general business environment
• Gather business and market intelligence in support of growth opportunities or risks
• Provide analytics and processing of financial and business data to support the preparation of business cases, feasibility studies, and investment valuation

Business Planning

• Provide data-driven support throughout the business planning cycle

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any Business degree, preferably with a background in data analytics and management
• Specializations in economics, strategic management, or financial management are not required but an advantage
• 1 - 3 years of strong experience in the research, analysis, and processing of internal and external business and financial data
• Experience in the Construction, Cement, or Steel industry is an advantage
• Must be 100% amenable to working on-site
