簡介

A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a role in the sales team that focuses on the early stages of the sales process. Its main job is to generate and qualify leads before passing them on to account executives or closers.


Key Responsibilities of an SDR

  • Prospecting: Researching and identifying potential customers who fit the company’s target profile.
  • Outbound Outreach: Using cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, and other channels to reach out to prospects.
  • Inbound Lead Qualification: Responding to inquiries, qualifying leads based on interest, budget, authority, need, and timeline.
  • Nurturing: Building initial relationships and educating prospects about the company’s product or service.
  • Scheduling Meetings: Setting up discovery calls or product demos for account executives.


  • Strong communication and active listening
  • Persistence and resilience (handling rejections daily)
  • Research and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and explain products/services
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
