The Sales Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic development of sales and marketing initiatives through data-driven insights. The Sales Analyst is responsible for analysing sales data to provide actionable insights, identify sales opportunities, and support the development of sales strategies.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main duties of the Sales Analyst include, but not limited to:


Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Prepare sales reports: daily MTD Sales by BP and Brand report, monthly YTD retail and wholesale sales reports
  • Design, create and prepare reports and dashboards for the National Sales Manager to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track performance metrics
  • Collect/analyze sell-in/sell-out data and monitor/track sales performance to help the Sales team to drive business activity, identify risks and sales opportunities, and suggest data-drive solutions to meet sales targets
  • Use collected data to populate supplier monthly reporting templates in preparation for marketing/sales team commentary and submission
  • Analyze promotional and launches plans and provide insights to the Sales and Marketing teams to forecast monthly sales
  • Track implemented recommendations and analyze post promotion assessment
  • Provide analysis and insights for forecast contributions after marketing P&L by channel and brand; highlighting variances vs budget and forecast, and identifying opportunities/risks
  • Provide analysis and insights for Business Review presentations to visiting suppliers for the Marketing/Sales Team
  • Develop accurate and data-driven sales forecasts to guide strategic planning and resource allocation across departments and brands
  • Support the sales team by creating reports and dashboards to enhance processes, refine strategies, and achieve sales goals effectively
  • Provide data-driven actionable insights to stakeholders including business partners to improve sales performance and drive business
  • Play a key role in developing other business improvement initiatives, setting up relevant reporting to measure success
