A Glimpse into your new role as a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in the Finance Department, supporting both head office and portfolio companies in financial reporting, compliance, and month-end processes.
Your day could see you:
Assisting with month-end accounts for head office and portfolio companies - Supporting management in budget preparation and reforecasts
Analyzing and providing commentary on financial movements and variances
Preparing month-end journals and managing payment processes
Reconciling fixed assets, deferred revenue, leases, and employee liabilities
Collating and consolidating accounts and budgets
Rolling forward and populating monthly financial reporting packs
Preparing BAS, GST, and FBT returns
Assisting with statutory financial statements for audit
Preparing tax reporting schedules for filing
Supporting finance initiatives such as standardizing reporting templates and implementing new accounting standards
Assisting in onboarding newly acquired companies into the reporting cycle - Addressing finance-related queries from portfolio and head office stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or related field
CPA/CA accreditation required 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or audit experience
Experience in SaaS companies is desirable but not essential - Understanding of AASB 3, AASB 16, and IFRS 15 accounting standards
Experience in multi-jurisdiction consolidations is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills
Experience using Xero, MYOB Advanced, or NetSuite (preferred)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
High attention to detail and task accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
