The Service Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of vending machines to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves managing a team of service engineers and technicians, scheduling preventive maintenance, and ensuring prompt response to service requests and machine breakdowns. The position requires strong technical expertise in vending machine operations, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. The Service Engineer also coordinates with operations, logistics, and client management teams to ensure efficient deployment, high service quality, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves monitoring service performance metrics, managing spare parts inventory, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine uptime and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service Scheduling
  1.  Ensure all service requests are properly logged and accounted for.
  2. Prepare and release service schedules in a timely manner.
  3. Coordinate with clients and the technical team to minimize downtime.
  • Machine and Parts Inventory
  1. Maintain updated inventory of machines, spare parts, and consumables.
  2. Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement when needed.
  3. Ensure critical parts are always available to support service continuity.
  • Tools Inventory & Optimization
  1. Maintain an updated record of all tools issued to the technical team.
  2. Study, evaluate, and recommend new tools or technology to improve efficiency and keep the team technologically advanced.
  3. Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools.
  • Coordination with Logistics
  1. Work closely with the logistics team for deployment, delivery, and retrieval of machines and spare parts.
  2. Align service schedules with logistics availability to ensure on-time delivery and servicing.
  3. Coordinate movement of defective units for repair or replacement.
  • Training & Development of Technical Team
  1. Develop training modules for new hires and existing technicians.
  2. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure updated technical skills.
  3. Evaluate training outcomes and provide improvement feedback.
  • Machine Support Materials
  1. Create and maintain an FAQ video library for common machine issues.
  2. Update content regularly to reflect new troubleshooting solutions.
  • Service Documentation
  1. Record all service activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance systematically.
  2. Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and filed for reference.
  3. Submit monthly summaries for management review.
  • Product Development Support
  1. Provide technical insights and feedback to assist in new product design and development.
  2. Collaborate with R&D and management to test prototypes and suggest improvements.
