We are seeking a highly skilled
Solutions Engineer – Security with a strong background in enterprise infrastructure, networking, and security. This role requires deep expertise in Azure, Networking, Firewalls, Identity Management, Automation, and Enterprise Security Standards.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience across the technical stack, understands solutions at a conceptual level, and has a proven track record in large enterprise environments (5000+ employees).
In this role, you will support architecture squads by implementing and securing solutions across various technologies. While not directly responsible for design, you will provide technical recommendations and expert-level support to ensure high-quality security and infrastructure outcomes. You will work closely with architects and engineers, contributing to enterprise security initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Industry certifications (Azure, Cisco, Security) are highly desirable.
The “Solutions Engineer – Security” will play a key role in delivering security initiatives, supporting, and mentoring Security Operations teams, and ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, Essential 8, NIST, and SOCI.
What will you do?

Cloud & Infrastructure Security
- Implement and secure Azure infrastructure, including:
- NSGs, Routing, Peering, Firewalls, Private Endpoints, WA
- Azure PIM (Privileged Identity Management), Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), Conditional Access Policies (CAP)
- Azure Sentinel & Log Ingestion for security monitoring
- Strong understanding of VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualised environments
- Manage security and compliance of hybrid cloud environments
Networking & Security Engineering
- Expertise in enterprise networking:
- Azure Networking (Firewalls, NSGs, Routing, Peering, WAFs), Cisco ASA, FortiGate,
- Firewall security and zero-trust network design
- Secure VPN, hybrid connectivity, and private endpoint solutions (Zscaler, ZIA, ZPA)
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Strong experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure AD B2B, B2C, SAML, OAuth, MFA
- Expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk / BeyondTrust
- Secure Conditional Access and Identity Governance
- Automation & Scripting
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation for infrastructure deployment and security tasks
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies (Terraform, Octopus)
- Automate role provisioning, log ingestion, and security event response
Security Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with security frameworks: Essential 8, NIST, SOCI
- Secure and optimise Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud
- Work closely with SOC teams to enhance security monitoring and alerting
Documentation & Architecture Interpretation
- Create and maintain KB articles, procedural documentation, and As-Built documentation
- Interpret high-level architecture diagrams and translate them into technical implementations

Qualifications
You will also need the following:
- 5+ years’ experience minimum in Cyber Security, Infrastructure, or Network Engineering within large enterprise environments (5000+ employees)
- Highly desirable:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Cyber Security
- Azure Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-350, AZ-140, AZ-305, SC-200, SC-300
- Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (Networking & Security)
- Security Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
- Proven ability to work in highly regulated industries and security-focused environments
Technical Skills
- Azure Infrastructure & Security: NSGs, Routing, Peering, Private Endpoints, Firewalls, WAFs, Sentinel
- Networking: Cisco, FortiGate, VPN, Hybrid Connectivity, Network Security
- IAM & PAM: Azure AD, Conditional Access, RBAC, Azure PIM, CyberArk, BeyondTrust
- Automation & Scripting: PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Virtualisation: VMware, Hyper-V
- Security Standards & Compliance: Essential 8, NIST, SOCI
- SIEM & Log Management: Azure Sentinel, Security log ingestion
