1. Directly assists users by answering technical questions concerning hardware and software systems.

2. Regularly monitors ticketing system and process tickets to resolve issues promptly.

3. Delegates tickets to co-department employees and/or to other departments depending on appropriateness of tickets.

4. Ascertains line, network and software characteristics desirable for the applications of company systems.

5. Researches and identifies hardware and software alternatives for handling present and future requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience

2. Must have at least one (1) year working experience in the related field

3. Must have good understanding of logic, computer organization and architecture, computer security and auditing, operating systems, databases and network protocols.

4. Must have able to troubleshoot and repair computers and peripherals

5. Must be familiar with Linux/Unix environment

6. Must have experience in script writing or tool development in Bash, Python, Ruby or Perl

7. Must have strong knowledge in network design and structured cabling, database and web administration

8. Must have strong desire to learn new skills and adapt them to a rapidly changing industry
