Job Description
- Assist in performing comprehensive review and analysis of financial statements and tax returns.
- Assist in monitoring each PH entity to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and BIR filing deadlines.
- Assist in crafting policies that promote tax compliance.
- Manages the distribution and workload to subordinates and team members.
- Manages tax cases with regulators until its conclusion and resolution.
- Act as finance’s representative on matters relating to tax audits and other tax cases.
- Advice on various tax implications of both national and cross-boarder business transactions.
- Provide tax efficient alternatives to the company’s business units and transactions.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks by maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax purposes.
- Ensure monitoring of tax updates, communicate developments and create strategies on changes to taxations.
- Prepare all tax papers in regular basis and handle all information data requests.
- Can interpret tax requirements, procedures and compliance; and can anticipate its implications and impact to the business
- Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements.
- Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes.
- Assist the treasury team in estimating and monitoring annual cash taxes.
- Coordinate with all business units and assist in monitoring implication of all issues and evaluate all present and future pricing strategies to ensure optimal level of efficiency.
Requirements
- Candidate must be CPA or CPA-Lawyer and possess Certificate of Accreditation as Tax Practitioner
- Minimum of 13 years of tax experience with a great career progression with Big Four tax firm and/or big Multi-National Companies.
- Has experience handling a big tax team (ie 8 or more HC)
- Able to work accurately and under pressure
- Previous tax related experience must be within the past twelve months
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
- Highly proficient n MS Office
