Job Description: Business Management Faculty
Position Title: Faculty – Business Administration / Management
Department: College of Business and Management
Reporting To: Program Head – Business Management / Academic Head
Employment Type: Full-Time
I. Position Overview
The Business Management Faculty is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction in various business disciplines aligned with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) curriculum and STI’s standards for academic excellence. The faculty must cultivate a learning environment that promotes practical knowledge, critical thinking, and leadership skills essential for future business professionals.
IV. Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses such as Principles of Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Business Ethics, and Entrepreneurship.
- Prepare course materials, assessments, and instructional plans aligned with Outcomes-Based Education (OBE).
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, case studies, presentations, and exams.
- Advise and mentor students in their academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, school events, and industry linkages.
- Contribute to research, community extension, or business incubation activities as required.
II. Educational Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Financial Management, Marketing, or a related business discipline.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related graduate program is an advantage.
- Preferably with relevant professional certifications (e.g., Civil Service, CPA, Marketing Licensure, etc.).
III. Experience Level
- At least 1–3 years of teaching experience at the college level or equivalent professional experience in a business environment.
- Industry experience in management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, or operations is preferred.
V. Skills and Competencies
- Strong foundation in business concepts and practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of current business trends, startup ecosystems, and local/global economic dynamics.
- Strong classroom management, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
