The Role

The ServiceNow Architect will be responsible for the design and architecture AskHR Project Phase 2 processes. This entails establishing the core architectural design that adapts to previously established functions from AskHR Project Phase 1. This will also include the development of an external alumni portal applications that will support life events, offboarding, relocations and integrations with Oracle.

Responsibilities:

 Technical Development and Implementation

  • Design the architecture of ServiceNow applications and modules with a focus on HR services and alumni portal.

  • Organize and structure taxonomies, knowledge bases, record producers, and self-service portals to enhance user accessibility and experience.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, stakeholders, and other team members to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • Participate in release and iteration planning meetings with the development team and other key stakeholders to align on project goals and timelines.

  • Contribute to solution design and testing phases, ensuring an exceptional user experience.

Process Optimization and Governance

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose enhancements to improve system usability, efficiency, and automation.

  • Ensure alignment of solutions with HR practices, organizational policies, and industry standards for security, compliance, and governance.

  • Contribute on the detailed technical documentation, including Design Specifications: High-Level Solution Design (HLSD), Solution Design Document (SDD), Security and Governance: Security License to Operate (SLTO), and Solution Deployment Plan (SDP).

  • Monitor platform compliance with data protection regulations, ensuring all solutions adhere to organizational and legal standards.

  • Participate in the Discovery workshops to understand business needs and requirements, and align them with the proposed solution.

Requirements:  

  • Over 5 years of experience in developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with a strong focus on HRSD.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Employee Center Portals, enhancing user experience, and aligning solutions with business requirements.

  • Skilled in designing complex custom applications, including designing and implementing advanced workflows, forms, and integrations to address unique organizational needs.

  • Solid understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including experience with Scrum or Kanban frameworks, ensuring efficient development cycles and continuous delivery.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced technical knowledge with the capacity to:

    • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to develop and deploy scalable solutions.

    • Identify and propose innovative, practical solutions to complex technical challenges.

    • Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance platform performance.

    • Share expertise and mentor team members to build technical capabilities across the development group.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and present ideas and updates clearly.

  • A proactive mindset for learning and keeping up with platform upgrades, best practices, and emerging ServiceNow capabilities to ensure solutions remain robust, secure, and future proof.
