What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the machine shop team to meet production targets and quality standards
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the machinery and equipment, implementing preventive maintenance procedures to ensure smooth operations
• Develop and implement production schedules, work instructions, and quality control processes to maintain efficiency and product quality
• Identify and resolve any production issues or bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Provide training and mentorship to machine shop personnel to develop their skills and capabilities
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure seamless operations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, maintenance, and quality control
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machine Shop Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of machine shop operations, including CNC machining, tooling, and equipment maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and implement effective solutions
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or a related field
