The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations and daily activities including receiving, storage, material issuance, and delivery of goods.
This role ensures proper stock control, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination between warehouse, production, purchasing, and PMC departments.
The Warehouse Supervisor must lead the warehouse team to maintain efficiency, organization, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Warehouse Operations
- Supervise all inbound and outbound activities — receiving, storing, picking, packing, and delivery of goods.
- Ensure all items received and issued are checked, labeled, and recorded accurately in the system or manual log.
- Plan and allocate daily tasks to warehouse staff, including loading/unloading, stock arrangement, and housekeeping.
- Monitor and control inventory accuracy by performing regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with 5S practices.
Inventory & Documentation Control
- Ensure all stock movement records, goods receipt notes (GRN), delivery orders (DO), and material requisitions are properly documented and filed.
- Coordinate with PMC and Production to ensure timely issuance of materials for production use.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged items, or shortages immediately to the PMC Manager.
- Support monthly and year-end stock take activities.
Team Supervision & Coordination
- Lead and guide warehouse staff in performing their duties efficiently.
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and safety practices.
- Provide on-the-job training and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Production, and QC teams to ensure smooth operations.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce warehouse safety regulations and ensure all staff use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report potential safety hazards.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent accidents and damage.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of stock records (≥ 98%)
- On-time material issuance and delivery
- Warehouse housekeeping and safety compliance
- Staff performance and teamwork efficiency
- Zero major stock discrepancy incidents
Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum SPM qualification.
- Additional training or certification in Warehouse / Logistics Management is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
- Experience in electronic / manufacturing industry preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good knowledge of inventory control and stock management.
- Able to lead a small team and manage day-to-day operations.
- Able to read, write, and perform basic calculations.
- Organized, responsible, and physically fit to handle warehouse tasks.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel or basic computer usage (advantage).
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia, basic English, and Mandarin (advantage).
